Northwestern Art Society Spring Art Show Opens March 13

Artwork from current Northwestern students, employees, retired employees and alumni was turned in this week for the 23rd annual NWOSU Art Society Art Show in the J.W. Martin Library during the month of March.

ALVA, Okla. — Northwestern Oklahoma State University Art Society will open its 23rd annual Spring Art Show on Friday, March 13, in the J.W. Martin Library on the Alva campus.
The show is free and open to the public on March 13 until 5 p.m. The show will close for Spring Break, March 16-18, but reopen on March 19-20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibit will then resume during regular library hours beginning March 22. The final day to view the campus show is March 31.
The campus art show will feature a variety of media and artistic styles by current Northwestern students and employees, retired employees and alumni. Artwork will be judged and prizes awarded.
The winning pieces from the Art Society’s art show will be featured in a Winner's Show during the First Friday Artwalk on Friday, April 3, from 6–8 p.m. at the Runnymede in downtown Alva.
While viewing the campus art show in the library, an additional art exhibit featuring seniors in the visual arts program will be taking place in Gallery Sophia in the Jesse Dunn Building, Room 218, March 23-27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please note that the gallery is only accessible via stairs.
