Northwestern’s Inaugural Red Dirt Review High School Art Contest Accepting Entries Until Nov. 10, Exhibition Dec. 1-12

Information about the the Red Dirt Review Art Contest that is written about in the release on the web page.ALVA, Okla. -- The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Visual Arts program invites regional high school artists to enter the inaugural Red Dirt Review High School Art Contest at the Alva campus.             

Public, private and homeschooled students in grades 9-12 may submit the Red Dirt Review Art Contest Entry Form by the Nov. 10 deadline in the categories of painting, ceramics, drawing, sculpture, photography and mixed media/other. There is no entry fee.

Thomas Cornell, assistant professor of visual arts, said all entries will initially be adjudicated online. Selected entrants and winners in each grade level and category will be invited to display their work in the exhibition, with notifications expected by Nov. 17.

A public reception is planned for Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. Awards and places will be announced at the reception.
