ENID, Okla. — For the first time, Northwestern Oklahoma State University will play host to the Oklahoma Political Science Association (OPSA) annual meeting Thursday, Nov. 6, and Friday, Nov. 7, on the Enid campus.

The theme of this year's observance is "History as our Guide to Politics," and it seeks to explore the nexus between the study of history and how it informs the understanding of politics.

This meeting is a statewide yearly conference that brings academics, professionals and the interested public together to discuss and study the field of political science. The group considers state, regional, national and international political issues by hosting academic panels presenting new research and thoughtful inquiry regarding political matters.

Each year, the conference is held at a different university within the state of Oklahoma with each university acting as a host institution.
