Northwestern Campuses Prepare to Welcome Students for Fall 2025 Semester

Alva, Okla. — Northwestern Oklahoma State University continues to ready its campus for the return of students for the Fall 2025 semester.
Students may begin to move-in to their respective residence halls from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14 through Sunday, Aug. 17.
The required freshmen and transfer orientation for students on the Alva campus is Saturday, Aug. 16. Registration will begin 8:30 a.m. and Freshmen orientation will begin at 9:00 a.m. in Percefull Fieldhouse, followed by breakout sessions across campus. Transfer orientation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the Joe J. Struckle Education Center, room 109.
“Zero Day” orientation for all students at the Woodward campus is scheduled for Aug. 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. and orientation at the Enid campus is scheduled for Aug. 14 from noon to 1 p.m. These orientations are voluntary.
On Monday, Aug. 18, the Northwestern Foundation and Alumni Association starts off the first week of classes by hosting a free breakfast for students starting at 7:30 p.m. The Northwestern Student Government Association (SGA) then kicks off Howdy Week with their annual Aloha! Northwestern event from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with free food, music, inflatables, games and more.

Northwestern students can grab some free popcorn and catch movie night on the lawn Tuesday, Aug. 19 starting at 9:00 p.m. at the south wall of Coronado Café, and on Wednesday, Aug. 20, check out all of Northwestern’s clubs and organizations on the J.W. Martin Library lawn starting at 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Then come out for the Glow, Rangers, Glow scavenger hunt and yard games starting at 8:30 p.m. on the intramural field.
Rialto Cinema in downtown Alva is offering the first 75 Northwestern students (with student id) free movie tickets for the 7:00 p.m. showing on Thursday, Aug. 21, courtesy of SGA. Howdy Week wraps up on Friday, Aug. 22, with the Monroe Street block party from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. with music, dancing and more free food.
