Northwestern announces 2022 Sports Hall of Fame inductees; 2021 class to be recognized as well

ALVA, Okla. – Northwestern Oklahoma State University and Ranger Athletics is pleased to announce the 2022 class to be inducted into the Northwestern Oklahoma State Sports Hall of Fame Saturday, Feb. 5.

The 30th Hall of Fame class for Northwestern will have three new Hall of Fame members inducted in Dean Farrow (Baseball-1977-1981) , Bill Julson (1999-2001), and Brittany (McBride) Johnson (Women's Basketball 2005-2007).  

"We are excited to induct these three great Rangers into the Northwestern Hall of Fame.  All three of them are true Rangers and embody what it means to have tremendous pride in Northwestern and to wear the Red and Black.  We could not be prouder of them and look forward to inducting them all with our current Ranger Hall of Fame inductees," Athletic Director Brad Franz said. 

The annual Hall of Fame ceremony will be during the East Central men's and women's basketball game. The honorees induction ceremony will take place at halftime of the men's basketball game. Included in this year's induction with the class of 2022 will be Bob Battisti and Brandon Christenson from the 2021 class as the 2021 ceremony was postponed due to COVID-19. 

The previous members of the Hall of Fame will be recognized during the halftime of the women's basketball game as the women's game will start at 1 p.m. with the men's game beginning at 3 p.m.

A luncheon honoring the 2021 and 2022 inductees will take place on Feb. 5 at 11:30 a.m. An online ticket reservation form will be available soon on the Northwestern Foundation and Alumni website at www.ournorthwestern.org
