New Business Professor Presents Paper at 2024 British Academy of Management Conference

Dr. Theresa McBride, associate professor of business, gave a presentation at the 2024 British Academy of Management Conference.

New faculty in the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Division of Business are already representing the university on an international stage.

Dr. Theresa McBride, associate professor of business, presented a peer-reviewed, developmental paper on Sept. 2 at the 2024 British Academy of Management Conference.

The conference was held at the Nottingham Business School at Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom. McBride presented the paper virtually. It was titled, “Teaching Leadership: A Collaboration Between Military and Civilian Faculty in the U.S.”

She co-authored the paper with research colleagues Lt. Cmdr. Edward Gailor, Department of Management instructor at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy; Jonathan Heller, Deputy Commandant of Cadets for Strategy and Leadership at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy; and Daniel Morris, associate professor of philosophy at Norwich University.

McBride and her colleagues have been working together since 2022. The research began when McBride served as a lecturer in the U.S. Coast Guard Academy School of Leadership and Management. The authors have presented at both national and international conferences.
