King Cabbage Brass Band to Close 2025-26 Northwest Oklahoma Concert Series

ALVA, Okla. — King Cabbage Brass Band will take the stage at Fellers Family Auditorium in Herod Hall, Tuesday, March 24, at 7 p.m. for the third and final performance of the Northwest Oklahoma Concert Series of the 2025-2026 season. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

General admission is $20, senior admission is $15 and student admission is $5. Tickets may be purchased at Holder Drug, the Graceful Arts Center or online.

Tulsa’s King Cabbage Brass Band was founded in the summer of 2021 at Cry Baby Hill, Tulsa’s honky-tonk Mardi Gras celebration. The eight-member ensemble is fronted by a five-piece horn section and performs a mix of funk, soul, jazz and R&B.

The band has performed at major festivals including SXSW and FORMAT Festival, alongside featured artists like Leon Bridges and Alanis Morissette. King Cabbage has also performed for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Tulsa Drillers, appeared at weddings featured in Vogue Magazine and performed on the roof of the BOK Center in Tulsa.

The band records at Leon Russell’s legendary Church Studio in Tulsa, releasing original multi-genre brass band music with wide-ranging influences as part of its mission to bring people together with joyful music.
