Hot Pickin 57s Set to Take Stage at Northwest Oklahoma Concert Series Oct. 7

ALVA, Okla. — Bluegrass and country band the Hot Pickin 57s will take the stage at Fellers Family Auditorium in Herod Hall, Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. for the second Northwest Oklahoma Concert Series of the 2025-2026 season. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

General admission is $20, senior admission is $15 and student admission is $5. Tickets may be purchased at Holder Drug, the Graceful Arts Center or online at www.nwocs.ludus.com.

The Hot Pickin 57s bring a mix of energetic bluegrass, country and Americana music with sets including well-known covers and original compositions. They have deep roots in the Austin, Texas, music scene, playing on and off since the early days of bluegrass in Austin at Artz Ribhouse. They reunited in 2016 after their musical educations at Berklee College of Music, South Plains College and Texas State University.

Members of the group have played in bands such as the Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash, Whit Smith’s Hot Jazz Caravan and Rosie and the Ramblers and have performed alongside artists Sierra Hull, Kym Warner, Alun Munde, Billy Bright of Wood and Wire, Mark Cosgrove and David Bromberg.
