High School Seniors Invited to Northwestern’s Ranger Preview Nov. 8; $600 Scholarship Given Just for Attending

Waynoka freshman Marlie Pitts attended Ranger Preview last fall, filled out necessary paperwork and earned a $600 scholarship to Northwestern just for attending the event. Ranger Preview is set for Nov. 8 this year, and registration is open.

ALVA, Okla. -- Northwestern Oklahoma State University invites high school seniors to explore campus life, learn more about the university and earn a $600 scholarship all by attending Ranger Preview on Saturday, Nov. 8, on the Alva campus. Check-in will begin at 10 a.m. in Percefull Fieldhouse.

Ranger Preview gives prospective students an inside look at life as a Ranger, where students will meet with faculty, staff and student organizations, talk about college life with current students, complete a free application for admission, submit the scholarship application form and tour the campus and dormitories. Those attending will also receive a free Northwestern t-shirt and enjoy a free lunch in the Coronado Cafeteria.

High school seniors who attend Ranger Preview, are admitted to Northwestern as full-time students, and attend classes at the Alva campus will receive the $600 scholarship. Attendance is required to qualify; however, students who have school-related conflicts with the date of the event may contact the Office of Recruitment at (580) 327-8546 or recruit@nwosu.edu.

The Office of Recruitment encourages pre-registration at the Ranger Preview webpage or by following the Ranger Preview link on Northwestern’s homepage. If a student does not have the opportunity to pre-register, walk-ins are welcome.
