August 29, 2025
ALVA, Okla. — The 2025-2026 Northwest Oklahoma Concert Series season will begin with a matinee performance Sunday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. at Fellers Family Auditorium in Herod Hall at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m.
World-class opera singers Brooklyn Snow, soprano, and Matt Greenblatt, tenor, from Nashville, Tennessee, will present selections from famous operas and musical theatre songs. They will be accompanied by Northwestern assistant professor of music and concert pianist Dr. Eduardo Moreira.
General admission is $20, senior admission is $15 and student admission is $5. Tickets may be purchased at Holder Drug, the Graceful Arts Center or online at www.nwocs.ludus.com.
Originally from Beaverton, Oregon, Snow holds music performance degrees from the University of Oregon and the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Greenblatt is a native of Port Washington, New York. The duo made their Carnegie Hall debut as soloists for Choirs of America's emerging Artists Series, and have performed across the United States.
Critics rave Snow delights audiences with her remarkably beautiful soprano voice and stunning combination of vocal athleticism and theatrical smarts. Some characters she interpreted include: Susanna in “Le Nozze di Figaro”; Adele in “Die Fledermaus”; Bastienne in “Bastien und Bastienne”, joined by Greenblatt as Bastien; Clara in “The Light in the Piazza”, joined by Greenblatt as Fabrizio; Musetta in “La Boheme”; Anne Egerman in “A Little Night Music”; Nannetta in “Falstaff”; Maria in “West Side Story”, joined by Greenblatt as Tony; Olympia, Antonia, Giulietta, and Stella in “Les contes d'Hoffmann”; Woglinde in “Das Rheingold”; Andina in “L'elisir d'amore”; and Cunegonde in “Candide.”
