Student Teaching Assignments in Area Schools Begin for 20 Northwestern Seniors

In their final semester at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, 20 senior education students have received their student teaching assignments and have entered area schools to gain hands-on experience.

The students will return to campus for seminars in March and their portfolio exit interviews in May. Commencement is scheduled for May 4.

Listed below are the students, their majors, hometowns and teaching assignments.

Agriculture Education –  Emily Cusack of Meno at Garber High School; Nathan Lang of Canton at Seiling High School; Cooper Sneary of Alva at Drummond High School.

Early Childhood Education –  Victoria Caywood of Enid at Alva Longfellow Elementary; Abigail Gregory of Tupelo at Enid Prairie View Elementary; Michaela Lammas of Ponca City at Newkirk Elementary.

Elementary Education – Rebecca Anderson of Enid at Sperry Elementary School; Sandy Close of Enid at Chisholm Elementary in Enid; Karen Marquez of Enid at Ringwood Elementary; Nahi Ramirez of Enid at Enid McKinley Elementary; Calista Rogers of Enid at Aline-Cleo Elementary; Jessica Weber of Enid at Enid Adams Elementary.

Health and Sports Science Education –  Jarrod Barnett of Alva at Waynoka Elementary School; Beau Foster of Dodge City (Kansas) at Kiowa (Kansas) Elementary; Hunter Halderman of Vici at Cherokee Elementary School; Chase McCurley of Seiling at Seiling Middle/High School; Kylee Weve of Cherokee at Medford Elementary.

Mathematics Education –  Lily Anderson of Little Elm, Texas, at Alva High School; Kassidy Williamson of Tonkawa at Blackwell High School.

Special Education – Amanda Cremers of Ponca City at Ponca City West Middle School.
