South Hall Undergoing Complete Renovation This Summer

South Hall Dorm Building

As Northwestern Oklahoma State University gears up to welcome students back into their residence halls this fall, construction crews are working on renovations to South Hall this summer.

Major improvements currently are taking place in this female residence hall. When finished, the students will be able to arrange their new, movable furniture in their rooms to best suit their needs. Along with these renovations, an upgrade to the HVAC system is taking place.

Opened in 1966, South Hall is a three-level women’s residence hall that accommodates 302 students. Suites include a private bathroom, shower and three rooms, most of which are double-occupancy with private rooms provided when available.

South Hall 2022 Renovation

“We are excited to get South Hall renovated and have that space available again for our students,” said Matt Adair, director of housing and assistant dean of student affairs and recruitment. “South Hall provides a great community that supports both a student’s personal and academic success. Overall, we are very fortunate that on-campus housing continues to be in high demand.”

Renovations include new flooring, drywall, paint, lighting, furniture, refreshed restrooms, and a full HVAC replacement. The pre-planning and architectural services were provided by Easley Associates. The project was open to bids with Crossland Construction Company chosen to serve as the general contractor.
