Seventh Annual Oklahoma Herpetological Society Conference Set for Feb. 28 at Northwestern

ALVA, Okla. — Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Department of Natural Science will welcome the Oklahoma Herpetological Society to campus for its seventh annual conference Saturday, Feb. 28, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the Joe J. Struckle Education Center, Room 109. Doors will open at 8 a.m.
Experts and hobbyists from around the state will gather to share results from their research and other related activities with reptiles and amphibians.
This year’s keynote speaker will be renowned evolutionary biologist Dr. David Hillis speaking about Phylogenomics and Species Delimitation.
“This event is great for anyone who wants to get an idea of what research gets conducted on reptiles and amphibians in our state,” said Dr. Nicholus Ledbetter, assistant professor of biology.
