Northwestern social work faculty attend NASW state conference

Northwestern Oklahoma State University social work faculty recently attended the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) 44th annual Oklahoma state conference held at the Sheraton Reed Conference Center in Midwest City.

The opening address was presented by Oklahoma’s first lady Sarah Stitt, who addressed mental health concerns and the importance of the social work profession.

NASW is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world, with 132,000 members. NASW works to enhance the professional growth and development of its members, to create and maintain professional standards, and to advance sound social policies.
