Northwestern Oklahoma State University Announces 2027 Scandinavian Educational Tour for Students and Community, Partnering with Northern Oklahoma College

ALVA, Okla. — Northwestern Oklahoma State University Study Abroad officials are excited to announce a nine-day educational travel opportunity to Scandinavia in June 2027. The immersive international experience will partner as part of the Bridge Program with Northern Oklahoma College and will take participants through the vibrant capitals of Oslo, Copenhagen, and Stockholm from June 9–17, 2027. The tour, paid by the traveler, is designed to provide students and community members with firsthand exposure to European history, culture, architecture, and global perspectives.
The journey will begin with an overnight flight to Oslo, where travelers will explore iconic landmarks including the Royal Palace, Karl Johans gate, and the National Theatre. Additional highlights in Norway include guided visits to the Oslo Opera House, Akershus Fortress, Vigeland Sculpture Park, and the Norsk Folkemuseum. Participants will then travel overnight by ferry to Copenhagen, where they will experience the city’s historic charm through walking tours, a canal cruise, and guided sightseeing of notable attractions such as the Little Mermaid Statue, Gefion Fountain, Christiansborg Palace, and Tivoli Gardens.
Travelers will continue their journey to Stockholm via the Oresund Bridge, with a cultural stop in Gränna to visit a traditional peppermint candy shop. In Sweden’s capital, the group will take part in guided tours of Gustav Adolfs Torg, the Swedish Parliament, and Stortorget Main Square, along with visits to the Nobel Museum and the renowned Vasa Museum. The program concludes with a return flight from Stockholm on the last day of the trip.
The all-inclusive tour package features round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations with private bathrooms, an overnight ferry stay, daily breakfast and dinner, guided tours, and the full-time support of a professional tour director. The total investment for both students and adults is $6,272. Flexible payment options are available, including an automatic monthly plan starting at $50 upon enrollment.
