The division sought feedback from stakeholders to determine any barriers, and those barriers have been addressed. Students will have more flexibility as well as frequent in-person contact with faculty members to ensure success.
The LPN-to-BSN hybrid track will allow students to complete their degree in just four semesters, combining the convenience of online learning with hands-on clinical training essential for nursing practice. The residency-style laboratories are structured to enhance practical skills, while in-person clinicals ensure real-world experience in healthcare settings.
Applications for the program will open in Summer 2026, giving prospective students ample time to prepare and apply. The new track exemplifies Northwestern’s commitment to accessible, high-quality nursing education tailored to the evolving needs of healthcare professionals.
