Northwestern Thanks Legislators for Their Work During Session
June 6, 2024
Northwestern Oklahoma State University officials are excited to share in the $39,375,000 appropriation from SB1185. This will help all four-year regional universities, along with two-year community colleges.
“I am very excited about the deferred maintenance package approved by the state legislature,” Dr. Bo Hannaford, university president, said. “This will go a long way in making improvements to our infrastructure and safety of our campus. I want to thank all of the legislative members, but in particular, our local legislators – Sen. Casey Murdock, Sen. Roland Pederson and Rep. Carl Newton. They, as well as, Rep. Mark McBride and House Democratic Leader Cyndi Munson, personally came to our campus to tour our facilities. We thank them all for their work for Northwestern Oklahoma State University.”
In addition to those mentioned above, the president would also like to thank Sen. Chuck Hall, House Speaker Pro Tem Kyle Hilbert, Rep. Kevin Wallace and Pro Tem Designee Greg McCortney for their work on maintaining Oklahoma’s campus infrastructure.
Northwestern is a regional university with campus locations in Alva, Enid and Woodward, along with options available at the University Center in Ponca City. For questions about Northwestern, call (580) 327-1700 or email recruit@nwosu.edu.
