MJ Pittman of Simple Money Academy will speak to Northwestern's TRIO students about being smart with their money. (for TRIO students only), Student Center Ranger Room.

About the Speaker:

MJ Pittman Simple Money Academy MJ Pittman is a successful business owner, an expert financial coach, and a speaker with contagious enthusiasm. After graduating top of his high school graduating class, MJ received multiple scholarships—including the Jackie Robinson scholarship—to attend sub-ivy league college, Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. At SMU, Michael pursued a degree in Engineering Management and Information Systems. While completing his degree, he had opportunities to intern at multiple Fortune-500 companies while in school, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, GE Capital, and Lockheed Martin. After graduating, MJ left the engineering world to work for PFS Investments as a mutual fund broker. He became one of the youngest federally licensed mutual fund brokers in the country and later transitioned into banking. Over the last 10 years, He’s helped tens of thousands of people learn about money and personal finance. MJ now uses his platform, Simple Money Academy, to teach underrepresented youth and young adults the secrets of wealth and personal finance. He’s been married for 10 years to the love of his life, Amanda, and has two children, Elijah and Lily.
