    Madison MaloneMadison Malone, an elementary education sophomore from Valley Center, Kan., chose to attend Northwestern because she wanted to go to school out of state and be in an environment where students were connected not only with the campus, but also with the community. Although Malone took 12 hours at Wichita State University while still in high school, she describes Northwestern as her first choice.

  • Northwestern to play host to entrepreneurship seminar

    Citizens of northwest Oklahoma will have an opportunity to participate in a two-day seminar titled, Entrepreneurs: Risk Takers and Innovators . . . the Stimulus of a Prosperous Society, on Feb. 18-19, at Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Enid. This seminar will focus on the importance of entrepreneurs and private enterprise in our society and will feature prominent scholars from around the country.
  • Natural History Museum to sponsor speaker on comets, extinctions and culture in region

    Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Natural History Museum will sponsor “Comets, Extinctions and Cultures in northwest Oklahoma,” on Feb. 16, at 6:45 p.m. in the Science Amphitheatre. This informative presentation will be given by Dr. Leland C. Bement of the Oklahoma Archeological Survey at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Bruce T. Fisher to speak at Northwestern

    Northwestern Oklahoma State University Heritage Celebration Series presents Bruce. T. Fisher to speak on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 6:40 p.m., in the Education Center room 102. Fisher’s presentation, “How We Missed the Boat: Interpreting the African American Experience,” will be delivered through ITV to Northwestern’s branch locations in Enid room 202, and the Woodward Boardroom.
