Northwestern Entrepreneur Seminar Series to Spotlight Social Media

February 14, 2024

The annual Northwestern Oklahoma State University Entrepreneur Seminar Series will spotlight northwest Oklahoma entrepreneurs utilizing social media March 7-8 on the Northwestern-Enid campus.

Northwestern students can enroll for a fee in this seminar titled “The Entrepreneur & Social Media” for three semester credit hours. Students also will be able to attend via Zoom or in room IE131 in Alva, room W145 in Woodward or at the University Center in Ponca City. Seminar sessions are free to the public, and community members are encouraged to come and go at their convenience.

The Entrepreneur Seminar Series is organized by Dr. Jerry Gustafson, professor of business, and Dr. Wayne McMillin, dean of the Northwestern-Enid campus, in collaboration with Heather Palmer, marketing consultant. Chris Tucker, social media expert and owner of EnidBuzz.com, is this year’s keynote speaker.

“It takes great courage to be an entrepreneur,” Gustafson told the Enid News & Eagle. “You’re on your own and you’ll meet others in business who share experiences at the seminar.”

Speakers are scheduled to present in Room 218 on the Enid campus, located at 2929 East Randolph Avenue, beginning Thursday, March 7, from 12:30 to 5 p.m. and finishing up on Friday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
