Northwestern Entrepreneur Seminar to Focus on Marketing Nov. 5-6
ALVA, Okla. — “Marketing” is the theme for the annual Northwestern Oklahoma State University Entrepreneur Seminar Nov. 5-6 on the Enid campus. The seminar is free and open to the public. For a fee, students may enroll for three hours of college credit.
Organized by Dr. Jerry Gustafson, professor of business, the two-day seminar is designed for anyone interested in entrepreneurship, marketing and professional development.
The seminar encourages participants to consider the role of entrepreneurs in a free society and to learn about entrepreneurs’ attributes and motivations for developing innovations and taking risks in their businesses. Attendees will hear from several business leaders sharing real-world insights from their professional experiences.
Event Details
Speakers are scheduled to present in Room 218 on the Enid campus, 2929 East Randolph Avenue, on Thursday, Nov. 5, from 12:30 to 5 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A dinner and keynote address by Dr. Jesse Schroeder, chair of the Northwestern Communication Department, will begin at 5:30 p.m.

For those unable to attend in person at the Enid campus, the seminar will be broadcast live via Zoom. Attendees can also join from dedicated viewing rooms at the following campus locations:

Student Enrollment & Course Credit
To receive college credit, students must enroll in GBUS 4423 and must attend in person at the Enid campus. The course is required for entrepreneurship minors, may count toward upper-level elective requirements for business majors, and may provide additional hours applicable toward the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Exam for accounting majors. The course may also be taken twice for a maximum of six credit hours. Students not planning to enroll may attend for free at any location.
