Camp Ranger 2026 for Incoming Freshmen at Northwestern Set for July 30-Aug. 1

ALVA, Okla. — Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Camp Ranger event for incoming freshmen is set for July 30 – Aug. 1 on the Northwestern-Alva campus. Registration will be taken until Tuesday, July 28, at the Camp Ranger registration page.

Who Organizes Camp Ranger and What It Costs

This event is organized and run by the Northwestern Scholar Ambassadors, a group of campus leaders who are selected to represent Northwestern in and out of the classroom. The cost is $125 for the three days of activities, meals, housing and an exclusive T-shirt only received by students attending this event.

The Northwestern Scholar Ambassadors serve as counselors to incoming freshmen during Camp Ranger. What Incoming Freshmen Will Do at Camp Ranger

By attending, incoming freshmen will have the opportunity to meet their classmates, get to know senior staff members, become familiar with the Alva community and its leaders, learn campus traditions and officially join the Ranger family with the creation of their student ID.

How to Register and Pay

Registration may be made via check by mailing to the Northwestern Business Office at 709 Oklahoma Blvd., Alva, OK 73717 or paid upon arrival during check-in by cash or check. Checks should be payable to NWOSU.

Check-In and Schedule

Check-in is July 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cunningham Hall, where students will move into the residence halls they will be living in for the semester. At 4 p.m., the students will meet in the lobby of Cunningham Hall for a welcome and icebreakers before dinner and other fun activities. Camp Ranger ends Aug. 1 at 1 p.m.
