16 Students to Represent Northwestern as Scholar Ambassadors for 2025-2026
June 2, 2025
Sixteen Northwestern Oklahoma State University students have been selected as members of the Northwestern Scholar Ambassadors (NSA) for the 2025-2026 academic year.
NSA is a group of academic high achievers led by Ethan Sacket, student success coordinator and transfer student recruiter. Their stated goal is to look beyond themselves to discover opportunities to serve the campus and the Alva community.
“I trust our campus and community members know they can always contact us if any needs arise,” Sacket said. “The goal of this program is to serve.”
In addition to working one hour a week with the university and conducting one personal service project, scholar ambassadors lead campus tours, foster community partnerships and facilitate specific events like Freshman Orientation, Family Day and Ranger Preview.
“These 16 student leaders have a wide variety of gifts, and I am excited for how they each will invest their time and talents to positively impact those around them this year,” Sacket said.
Students selected to this year’s NSA include:
Ella Bowers, Woodward senior majoring in psychology
Barrett Brown, Liberty sophomore majoring in business administration
Coy Bullard, Carter sophomore majoring in computer science
Jaxy Cloud, Enid junior majoring in mass communication
Maci Flowers, Tecumseh junior majoring in elementary education

Selection to the NSA is through a competitive process including applications, letters of recommendation and an interview.
Calleb Mosburg, dean of student affairs and enrollment management, is very proud of the NSA Program and its outstanding student representatives for the 2025-2026 class.
“I know that they will continue to carry on a standard of outstanding leadership and service to the university and the area communities,” Mosburg said.
NSA had its first meeting in April. Group members began their work together May 8 by welcoming approximately 150 seventh graders to the Northwestern-Alva campus for guided tours. The NSA students will be volunteering with the summer Oklahoma Association of Student Councils BASIC leadership workshops in June and July and Camp Ranger July 31 to Aug. 2. The students will attend a leadership retreat June 12-14 in Tulsa for a time of connecting and planning the year’s opportunities.
“The Northwestern Scholar Ambassadors are eager to step into this academic year of growth and outreach,” Sacket said.
