Department of English, Foreign Languages, and Humanities Northwestern Oklahoma State University (For best results, please complete this form using the Google Chrome browser) Scholarship Deadline: February 15th --Applicants are encouraged to apply for student financial aid and are required to fill out the Continuing Student Scholarship Application as well. --Student must successfully complete 24 credit hours the prior academic year and maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA (some scholarships may require higher CGPA) to be eligible. --Student must be enrolled in at least 12 hours during the semester of receiving scholarship. Scholarships Available (you will mark below which scholarships you are applying for): Gladys Bingham-Dotter Scholarship - This scholarship is awarded to a full-time junior or senior majoring in English with a 3.00 CGPA. Preference will be given to applicants from the Northwestern service area. Agnes Lebeda Writing Award - The Lebeda award is granted to a full-time senior or graduate student majoring in English with a 3.50 CGPA. Fran Wadley Slack Scholarship - This scholarship is awarded to a full-time junior or senior English major or minor with a 3.00 CGPA. Gloria Piersall Scholarship - This scholarship is awarded to a full-time English major with a 2.50 CGPA. Dorothy Day Spanish Scholarship - This scholarship is given to a full-time student majoring or minoring in Spanish. They must be a continuing student, have a 3.00 CGPA, and have completed three semesters of Spanish course work. Geraldine Burns Award for Excellence in English Studies - This award is not a monetary award, and is given to one student majoring in English Education. Recipient must be a senior entering their student teaching semester for consideration.
