This year’s session is titled “Presidents of the Declaration of Independence: The Friendship and Collaboration of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson.” The program is free and open to the campus community and public, and refreshments will be provided.

Rasenberger is the author of five books including “Revolver,” “The Brilliant Disaster,” “America, 1908” and “High Steel.” He has also contributed to the New York Times, Vanity Fair, Smithsonian and other publications. He is a native of Washington, D.C., and resides in New York City.

This discussion will center around his upcoming work, “A Perfect Coincidence,” which deals with the lives and accomplishments of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson.

More information about Rasenberger is available on his website, jimrasenberger.com.

The annual program is sponsored by the Northwestern Department of Social Sciences Donovan Reichenberger Endowed Chair in History and the Institute for Citizenship Studies in collaboration with the Northwestern Foundation and Alumni Association.
