The opportunity and challenge to attend a college or university of your choice is a major milestone in your life. Attending Northwestern Oklahoma State University is an excellent opportunity to cross that milestone and move toward the next milestone in your life -- a career, a significant relationship, even the chance to affect the lives of people around the world. As an instructor at Northwestern I have had the unique opportunity to see young students develop into those who continue to make a significant difference in lives of people around the world. As director of the Baptist Student Union (BCM) at Northwestern since 1978, I have been privileged to see NWOSU students make a difference in the lives of people in every corner of the world. If you choose to attend Northwestern, I invite you to visit the BSU. It is located directly east of Carter and Jesse Dunn Halls. But the most important thing you need to remember is the fact you are ALWAYS welcome at the Northwestern BSU. We join with other BSUs and BCMs across Oklahoma to help MOVE LIVES FORWARD. Our task is simple. It is symbolized by the acrostic "LIVES". Love God with your whole heart, soul, and mind and your neighbor as yourself. Invest in the lives of students and people locally and around the world. Value biblical living to find a rich guide for your life. Equip students to better influence the lives of others on our campus, in northwest Oklahoma, throughout our state and nation. Send students to teach all nations the value of living the life Jesus Christ designed for every follower.

As you choose to attend our great university, I challenge you to join us at the BSU for meals, studies, mission opportunities, athletic events, and a simple opportunity to relax and get to know some of the finest students in the United States. You will find acquaintances who will become your best friends for the rest of your life. You will find people you can trust and invest in as they trust and invest in you. And, who knows, as has happend many, many times before, you just might find that person with whom you will share the rest of your life in developing a family.

Whether you are a student, a faculty member, a member of the administration, a staff member at Northwestern, you are welcome at the Northwestern BSU. Being a Baptist is not a requirement for participation in any event. Join us and make a difference as a Ranger. We need you to help us make a difference.
