In its national rankings released this week, ranked Northwestern’s nursing program at No. 18, based on academic quality, affordability and accessibility, as well as what percent of nursing graduates pass their board certification tests (NCLEX-RN).

    November 6, 2013--To ensure public protection, each state requires nursing school graduates to meet set require­ments that include passing an examination that measures the competencies needed to perform safely and effec­tively as a newly licensed, entry-level registered nurse. The Nursing Program at Northwestern Oklahoma State University recently received the news its students had a 100 percent passing rate of the National Council Licensures Examination (NCLEX).

  • Northwestern nursing grads prep for journey 'down under'

     June 11, 2012 -- Five recent Northwestern Oklahoma State University nursing graduates are beginning the final planning stage for a trip to Brisbane, Australia beginning in late July, by launching a few fundraising efforts. The group members have been invited to present their “Bio-Touch” research at the Sigma Theta Tau International Research Conference to be held July 26 through Aug. 4.

  • Thirty-one Northwestern nursing students honored at pinning ceremony

    May 17, 2012 -- Thirty-one nursing students at Northwestern Oklahoma State University were honored with a traditional pinning ceremony on May 4, the day before their graduation. Keynote speaker was Pamela Lake, a faculty member with the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at the University of Texas, Tyler.
