OKLAHOMA CITY (9-26-11) – The Northwestern Oklahoma State University women’s cross country team took part in the 2011 Oklahoma City University Fall Classic this past weekend.
Leading the way for the Lady Rangers was Paige Little, crossing the finish line in 33rd place with a time of 21:55, a little over two minutes behind the individual winner from the University of Central Oklahoma, Brooke Klimek.
Northwestern finished the morning with a team score of 213 for the eighth spot in the field, with UCO taking home the team crown.
Coming in two runners later was Lady Ranger Jackie Robledo at the 22:14 mark. Robledo was running unattached, and was not included in the team score.
Other Northwestern in the event were Kathryn Montes finishing with a time of 23:07, Emily Guthrie (23:30), Laura Haftman (23:39), Desiree Guffy (26:22) and Elizabeth Guffy (26:36).
The Northwestern runners take part in one of the biggest races of the year on Saturday as they compete in the field at the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree.
