Winter Weather Procedures

In the event winter weather forces the cancellation or postponement of classes or campus events, the University will distribute official information through a combination of the following sources, the University website (www.nwosu.edu), campus email (when possible), the official University Facebook and Twitter accounts, local radio stations and Oklahoma City television stations.

In the event of an early morning closing, the University will make every attempt to make a decision by 6 a.m. Employees will receive a call from their immediate supervisor.

Whether or not the decision is made to close the campus or cancel classes, those off-campus students commuting to class should use their best judgment when deciding to travel to campus in winter weather conditions. Students who miss a class are urged to make contact with their instructors as soon as possible.
