    March 30, 2017 – Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Department of English, Foreign Language and Humanities will play host to four remaining events in April for the “Community Reads” series to celebrate the visit of spring 2017 Visiting Writer Mary Anna Evans on April 12-13.

    May 21, 2015--Dr. Kathryn Lane, chair of the Department of English, Foreign Language and Humanities and assistant professor of English at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, recently received the John Sheffield Teacher of the Year award during the annual Northwestern Foundation and Alumni Association Awards Ceremony.

  • Visiting Writers' Series to feature Abigail Keegan

    March 15, 2012 -- As the second speaker in the Visiting Writers Series sponsored by the English, Foreign Language, and Humanities Department at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Abigail Keegan will read poetry on Thursday, March 29, at 7 p.m. Held in the J.W. Martin Library, Keegan also will have copies of her latest book,“Depending on the Weather,” available for purchase and signing at the reading.

  • Western Heritage Award winner to read his poetry at Northwestern April 11

    Ken Hada, author of two books of poems, will be reading from his books during a Poetry Reading at Northwestern Oklahoma State University on Monday, April 11, at 7 p.m. in the J.W. Martin Library.
