Northwestern Oklahoma State University officials have been contacted by alumni in Ponca City about the possibility of a phone solicitation scam in the area.

Someone representing a “partner charity group” is indicating they are soliciting funds on behalf of the university, and the calls appear to be coming from Alva.

Any solicitations on behalf of Northwestern are conducted by the Northwestern Foundation or officially recognized university organizations.
