
Rob Hibberts
Head Athletic Trainer
Rob Hibberts is beginning his first year with Northwestern Oklahoma State as the Head Athletic Trainer. Previously to coming to Northwestern, Hibberts served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Bakersfield College (Calif.) from 2003-2008. Before being transferred to Bakersfield, he was the Head Athletic Trainer for Cerro Coso Community College (1996-2003) in Ridgecrest, CA.
Hibberts and his athletic training staff strive to provide quality athletic health services to the student-athletes. Members of the athletic training staff work in conjunction with team physicians to ensure the proper prevention, care, treatment and rehabilitation of student-athletes. He is also planning to begin an athletic training curriculum for those students wishing to become future athletic trainers
During December of 2008, Rob received his master’s degree in exercise science and health promotions with an emphasis in performance enhancement and injury prevention from the California University of Pennsylvania. He received his bachelor’s of science degree in physical education from California State University-Fresno, and his associate of arts degree from Fresno City College.
Hibberts is currently a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, Mid-American Athletic Trainers Association, and the Oklahoma Athletic Trainers Association. He is also a licensed to practice in the state of Oklahoma. Hibberts holds a certification as a Performance Enhancement Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and is certified in CPR/AED in the Basic Life Support for Health Care from the American Heart Association.
Rob is married to Ruby, who is an Oklahoma native. He enjoys fishing, golfing and working in his yard during his time off.
Joanna Crow
Assistant Athletic Trainer
Joanna Crow is beginning her first year on the training staff at Northwestern Oklahoma State. Crow is a 2004 graduate from Oklahoma State University where she earned a bachelor’s of science degree in athletic training. She worked with the Oklahoma State football, baseball and soccer programs. Crow went on to earn her master’s of science degree from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi in 2007. She was the Graduate Assistant for the Islanders from 2004-2007.
Crow is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, Mid American Athletic Trainers Association (District 5) and the Oklahoma Athletic Trainer’s Association. She is certified by the American Red Cross as a Professional Rescuer.
Joanna, an Oklahoma native, enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach and traveling.
