Tiffany Scarola is from Bolingbrook, Illinois. She holds a BA from Northern Illinois University, and a MA from DePaul University. Before Ms. Scarola obtained her MA she spent a year in Nanjing, China, where she was responsible for teaching English to 6th grade students at the Nanjing Foreign Language School. Upon returning to the states, Ms. Scarola attended DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to her position at Northwestern, Ms. Scarola began work as an adjunct instructor at Waubonsee Community College in Aurora, Illinois. She was a part of the Department of College Readiness, where she taught writing and grammar classes for ESL/International students. While teaching at WCC, Ms. Scarola obtained a second position as an adjunct instructor at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. At COD, Ms. Scarola was responsible for teaching Composition I and Developmental Writing. Currently, Ms. Scarola is an Instructor of English and the Composition Coordinator for the English department. She also serves on the International Student Task Force, she is the faculty co-sponsor for Sigma Tau Delta, and is responsible for creating and teaching a composition class explicitly for the international student population.
