THREE PLAYERS SIGNED TO RANGER SOCCER TEAM

The Ranger Soccer team added three players for the upcoming 2008-09 season. Head Coach Steve Barrows announced that two freshman and a junior college transfer are the latest to join the squad. Caitlin Freddie, Venessa Lopez and Lindsey Ingram are the latest additions.

Caitlin Freddie

Freddie, who prepped at James Madison High School in San Antonio, plays both midfield and defender. Caitlin will come to Northwestern by way of the club team Supras, while also playing with the Lions Futbal squad. “Caitlin can play all positions on the field and has tremendous technical and tactical skills,” remarked Barrows. “Her impact will be immediate.”

Venessa Lopez

Lopez, a native of Bethany, was an all-state forward/midfielder this past season. “Venessa has nice technical skills and an off the ball awareness that is hard to teach,” exclaimed Barrows. “She will fit in well in the Sooner Athletic Conference, where she will continue to develop her game.”

Lindsey Ingram

Ingram comes to Northwestern after two seasons at Neosho (Mo.) Community College. A midfielder, Lindsey is a graduate of Tulsa Memorial High School. “Lindsey brings experience and a passion for the game,” stated Barrows.
