Tailgate for first Northwestern football game planned

            The Alumni Association has scheduled a free tailgate party for Northwestern’s home and season opening football game against the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Bulldogs. The tailgate will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 28 on the second tier of Ranger Field in Alva.
             The tailgate party is free for anyone attending the football game. The Rowdy Rangers will be cooking hot dogs and hamburgers and there will appearances by the Ranger Cheerleaders, band, and special guest, Rowdy the Ranger.
             Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. with the tailgate coming to a close a 7:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to come out and watch the historic Northwestern versus Southwestern rivalry.
