The Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) collected 301 units of blood from donors during the Northwestern Oklahoma State University-Alva drive Oct. 7-8. A total of 21 units were collected during the Northwestern-Enid drive on Oct. 9.
“We truly appreciate the donors and volunteers who took time out of their day to save someone's life,” Valerie Curry, OBI Blood Program Consultant, said.
“Northwestern students, faculty and staff are incredibly selfless and do so much good for the community when they donate blood with OBI. We hope to see great success during the next blood drive in December.”
Between both Northwestern locations, there were 283 donors. Some donors were able to provide OBI with double units of blood.
Northwestern-Alva will play host to an additional one-day fall blood drive Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Ranger Room.
