Criminal Justice
SLO 1
Students will demonstrate knowledge of the merits of the various major criminological theories and various management approaches which are used in Criminal Justice management.
SLO 2
Students will demonstrate knowledge of the substantive and procedural aspects of the four core sectors of the criminal justice system (law, law enforcement, courts, and corrections).
SLO 3
Students will demonstrate problem solving abilities and critical thinking skills in the field of criminal justice by demonstrating knowledge of various theories and research methods to the study of contemporary problems, policies, and practices in the criminal justice field.

Students will demonstrate knowledge of research ethics, the scientific method, data gathering approaches, statistical analysis, and topical problem identification and solution development.
History
SLO 1
Students will demonstrate knowledge of the context surrounding the impact of key events and significant individuals on global issues since 1945.

Students will demonstrate knowledge of the pre and post Cold War politics and economies of Europe, the Middle East, and North America.
SLO 3
Students will demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills, and knowledge of appropriate research methods in historical research and writing in the development of an individual capstone research proposal.

Political Science
SLO 1
Students will demonstrate knowledge of the various political theories as they relate to contemporary issues in American generalist political science.

Students will demonstrate the application of various political theories and theorists to the development of the US government.

Students will demonstrate knowledge of research methods, ethics, population and sampling techniques and effective writing.

Sociology
SLO 1
Students will demonstrate the ability to analyze and evaluate various social theories as these relate to a contemporary issue in the field.

Students will demonstrate knowledge of the basis for social theory, its application to social problems and issues, and the context historically from which various theories evolved.
