Application Policy Your application fee of $15.00 US must accompany this application for admission. Each new freshman student, as well as one transferring from another college or university, must submit a formal application for admission. In addition to the official application form, the applicant must request the principal of the high school attended to send a transcript of credits, translated into English. An applicant who has attended another university is to request a complete transcript to be translated into English and copies of any external examination certificates that he/she may have attempted sent directly to the:
International Student Advisor Undergraduate Students: An official TOEFL score (500 for a paper-based test, 173 for a computer-based test, or 61 for an internet-based test) is required of all students for whom English is a second language. The TOEFL must have been taken within the last two years. Each enrollee at Northwestern will notify the Registrar of his/her social security number, which is used as his/her student identification number. Any applicant who does not have a social security number will be assigned a student identification number at the time he/she enrolls at Northwestern. A financial guarantee must be submitted, verifying that the applicant has adequate funds to provide for the expenses for the full duration of stay at Northwestern. This form must list the specific source(s) of support - family, savings, home government agency, etc. and the exact amounts expected from each source. Such statement is to be countersigned by a bank official. All new students must provide immunization history and comply with guidelines regarding tuberculosis testing. Students planning to live in a university residence hall must file a room reservation form with the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Business Office after admission has been certified.
