Admission
Information and Application:
Each section of the application must be completed.
Questions that are left unanswered and/or if the educational history
is incomplete, the admission process will be delayed. The student
is required to complete and sign the application.

Application Deadlines:
Fall Semester: July 15 Spring Semester: November
1 Summer Session: April 1
(Applications received after the deadline date will be processed for
the next available semester)
Application Fee:
$15.00 money
order or cashier’s check made payable to Northwestern Oklahoma State
University and drawn on a U.S. bank or bank based in the U.S.
*DO NOT SEND CASH OR FOREIGN POSTAL* (This fee is also
non-refundable)
Financial
Guarantee:
The purpose of this form is to provide proof to Northwestern
Oklahoma State University that the student has financial resources
to cover the cost of the first year’s institutional expenses. This
document must be signed by both the student and the guarantor and
countersigned as well as sealed by the guarantor’s bank. If the
guarantor’s bank prefers to issue a letter, the letter should be
issued on bank stationery and signed by a bank official.
Monetary values need to be converted to the U.S. dollar.
Transcripts:
The student must submit official transcripts from the high school
they graduated from and also any colleges or universities that the
student has previously attended. If the transcripts are not in
English, a certified evaluation is required. If photocopies of
records are sent, the student will be expected to bring the original
educational records when you arrive at Northwestern State University
to enroll.
TOEFL
or IELTS:
An official
TOEFL score (500 for a paper-based test, 173 for a computer-based
test or 61 for an internet-based test), or IELTS score (6.0 or
higher) is required of all students for whom English is a second
language. The TOEFL or IELTS must have been taken within the last two
years. A waiver of this requirement can be obtained for transfer
students who have earned 24 hours of college-level credit, with
passing grades, at a recognized college/university in which English
is the medium of instruction and in a country where English is the
official language.
Immunization Form:
The
Northwestern Immunization Form is included in the Application for
Admission Packet. This must be completed and returned to
Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
I-20 Form:
When the
International Student Office has received all of the required
information, a decision will be made regarding admission. If the
student is academically accepted to Northwestern Oklahoma State
University, the adequacy of financial support will then be evaluated
to determine whether you are eligible to receive the appropriate
immigration documents (I-20) to obtain a Student Visa and enter the
United States.
