J.R. Holder Wellness Center at Northwestern Oklahoma State University is kicking off the spring and promoting physical fitness by playing host to the Spring Indoor Triathlon on Saturday, April 18.
Doors will open at 7:15 a.m., and the first heat will begin at 8 a.m. Pre-registration began Monday, March 23, and will end Sunday, April 5. Pre-registration is required as there will be no race day entries.
An indoor triathlon event includes swimming eight laps, biking for five miles on a stationary bike and running one and a half miles on the treadmill.
There will be three divisions, and the top three winners of each division will be honored. The divisions are as follows: men’s community, men’s college, women’s community, women’s college, team and overall male and female winner.
Fees for the event are $15 for individual student members; $30 for individual non-members; $35 for team student members; and $40 for team non-members.
