On April 30, the Peninsular Spanish American Culture class at Northwestern Oklahoma State University will play host to a fundraiser in celebration of Cinco de Mayo, with its main goal to raise money for the Spanish Scholarship Fund. Lunch will be served from noon to 1 p.m.

The group will serve enchiladas from El Durango with a donation of $5 or more in the Student Center. Northwestern employees have the option to have lunch delivered to their offices.

Cinco de Mayo is a holiday that celebrates the defeat of the French by Mexico at the Battle of Puebla. Mexican troops won the fight on May 5, 1862.
