Dana Gandolfo became Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s first NAIA All-American softball player since the program began in 2001. Gandolfo was recently named a First-Team 2009 NAIA All-American.

The Northwestern Oklahoma State University softball team placed five athletes on the All-Sooner Athletic Conference Softball Teams, including a first-team selection, two second-team members, an honorable mention performer and a gold glove team member.

After playing five games at the Sooner Athletic Conference Softball Tournament at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, the Ranger softball team went 3-2 over the weekend to finish their season with a 25-31 overall record.

Eighth seeded Northwestern Oklahoma State University will take on ninth seeded Oklahoma Baptist in the first round of the 2009 Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament at 10 a.m. on Friday May 1 at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – In Northwestern’s final regular season home doubleheader, the Rangers met up with Rogers State in Oklahoma City due to the significant rain that Alva has had. The Rangers and Hillcats split 7-3, 4-1, with Northwestern winning game two.
