Social work students from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and area social work professionals will have the opportunity to hear Mary Jo Kinzie, executive director of the National Association of Social Workers–Oklahoma Chapter (NASW-OK); James Marks, executive director of the Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Workers; and Sean Byrne, executive director of United Way of Enid, speak on Thursday, Oct. 11, from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at Northwestern-Enid, room 210.
Their topic, “NASW-OK Update and Licensure Issues,” will be available via ITV to Northwestern-Alva in the Education Center, room 108, and to Northwestern-Woodward, room 143.
This presentation is available for professionals who need continuing education units (CEU). One CEU hour will be offered for social work professionals attending this event.
“This is an exciting opportunity for students and area social workers to learn about NASW-OK updates, discuss social work licensure issues and network with other social workers in the region,” said Kylene Rehder, Social Work Department chair.
