The NOC-NWOSU Bridge Program is designed to assist transfer students [coming to Northwestern from Northern Oklahoma College] develop a better understanding of the degree requirements for Baccalaureate Degrees in the following programs:
Criminal Justice - Corrections
Criminal Justice - Law Enforcement
Social Science Education
Students who complete the requirements for an Associate’s Degree from NOC may participate in the Bridge Program which provides scholarship assistance to transfer students who finish their Bachelor’s Degree from one of NWOSU’s Degree Programs.
NOC Transfer students are urged to carefully review the degree requirements for the Bachelor’s Degree Programs (go to the degree requirements for the degree programs listed above which are found on this website). Once a student has completed a required course for a specific degree program as part of the Associate’s Degree program at NOC, then the student will not have to repeat that course at NWOSU to complete the Bachelor’s Degree. Students are responsible for their academic progress and should seek advisement early in their undergraduate program insofar as possible.
Social Science Departmental faculty are available on the Enid campus every Wednesday evening and do provide phone consultation and advisement to interested transfer students. Please contact Dr. Kay Decker at 580-327-8521 or firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance. Social Science faculty members are available in Enid for fall and spring/summer advisement sessions each semester. Please watch the Upcoming Events page on this website for up to date information about scheduled advisement sessions.
Transfer students are strongly encouraged to complete all lower division coursework in their chosen degree program prior to transferring to NWOSU. Lower division courses include any course at the 1000 or 2000 level.
