Two free training sessions regarding SMART Boards will be offered at Northwestern Oklahoma State University on Saturday, March 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sessions will be taught in the Education Center, room 209.
Susan Sawyer, certified SMART board trainer, will train those who are interested in learning more about SMART boards. Sawyer is a middle and high school mathematics teacher at Edmond Public Schools. She will be able to provide a hands-on approach for training.
The morning session, 10 a.m. to noon, “SMART Board Training for Mathematics Educators,” will cover mathematic capabilities within the SMART board software.
A free lunch will be provided by the President’s Association in Coronado Cafeteria from noon to 1 p.m.
After lunch, the next session, “General SMART Board Training for ALL Educators,” will take place from 1-4 p.m. This session will cover topics applicable for any classroom.
Registration is limited and will be by email on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space is limited to 50 participants in each session. Participants may attend one or both sessions, including lunch, but must indicate when registering what sessions they plan to attend.
