Cancellation Information

We are currently working on a “cut and dry” method for informing a group and the public whether or not a program has been cancelled. Depending on the program/observing arranged, it could be that a rain date has been scheduled in advance or activities inside the classroom have been prepared in the event of poor weather. Please check with the program leader or the original announcement of the event for those details. That said, final decisions of a cancellation are generally made two hours prior to the time the program was scheduled to begin.

To be certain about a cancellation, you can check the observatory website, call the observatory hotline, or send an email about cancellation information:

·SLL Observatory Website: http://www.nwosu.edu/selman-learning-laboratory (updated as often as possible, but the program leader may not be able to modify the webpage the day of the scheduled event)
·Observatory Hotline: (580) 748-1820
·Email for Steve Maier: (sjmaier@nwosu.edu )
