Northwestern Oklahoma State University is teaming up with the Guard Officer Leadership Development (G.O.L.D.) Program and Conserving Our Ranger Environment (CORE) and the Staff Council to enhance the Alva campus with hopes to “Guard the Environment” on Friday.

More than 470 Northwestern Oklahoma State University students and employees showed their support and appreciation last weekend during “The Big Event,” an annual day of “giving thanks” sponsored by Conserving Our Ranger Environment (CORE).

Nearly 500 volunteers from Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s three campuses are preparing for “The Big Event,” on Saturday, March 26.

Delta Zeta sorority sisters from Northwestern Oklahoma State University celebrated the first annual State Day on Friday, Oct. 1, and Saturday, Oct. 2. Northwestern’s members united with their Delta Zeta sisters from Northeastern State University and University of Central Oklahoma to perform volunteer services at the Regional Food Bank in Oklahoma City.

Northwestern Oklahoma State University is sponsoring the first Woods County Service Fair Thursday, Oct. 7, from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom and on Tuesday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Commons Area on the Enid campus. The Fair is designed to connect volunteers with local organizations needing extra help, said Christi Vickers, Service Learning Coordinator at the university. The fair is free and open to all Northwestern students and employees, as well as members of the community who are interested in volunteering, either individually or as a group.
