  • Rodeo star Stockton Graves to lead Northwestern program

    Stockton Graves takes over the Ranger Rodeo program. Graves (right) is pictured with his finace Crissi Loch.Former Northwestern Oklahoma State University rodeo star and current tour professional Stockton Graves has been selected to lead the men’s and women’s rodeo programs at his alma mater. Graves was introduced to his team Wednesday evening.

  • Ranger cowgirls win home event, Kimzey all-around winner

    ALVA, Okla. (11-8-11) – The cowgirls of the Northwestern Oklahoma State University rodeo team had a successful weekend at home in the Ranger Rodeo as the women retained the events title after the final performance on Saturday evening. Among the Ranger cowgirls was Dusta Kimzey, the winner of the women’s All-Around with 135 points.

  • Frascht Resigns as Rodeo Coach

    Frascht Resigns as Rodeo CoachShannon Frascht, head rodeo coach at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, has submitted his resignation from the post.

    Frascht became coach of the University’s successful rodeo team in January 2011. He informed university officials that he will pursue opportunities in the private sector.

    Ranger Rodeo Team Finishes Fifth at CNFR, Irwin and Braden Take Top 5 HonorsCASPER, Wyo. – The Northwestern Oklahoma State University men’s rodeo team had an outstanding showing at the 62nd College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyoming, taking fifth place with 500 points.

    The Rangers were just 10 points shy of second place Missouri Valley College, while Sam Houston State University took home first place with 755 points.

    Northwestern Sends Four to College National Finals RodeoFour cowboys from the 2010-11 Northwestern Oklahoma State University rodeo team will represent the Rangers at the 63rd Annual College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyo. at the Casper Events Center on June 12-18.

    With 10 rodeos under their belt, Kody Woodward, Kyle Irwin, Tanner Braden and Trenton Johnson have earned the honor to represent Northwestern at the CNFR.
