  • Digital photographers can register for free workshop in Alva

    July 11, 2012 -- The fifth annual Picture My Weekend digital photography workshop and show will be Friday and Saturday, July 27 and 28, in the historic Runnymede Hotel on Alva’s downtown square. Part of the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Creativity Project, Picture My Weekend will feature a public showing of participants’ photos on Friday evening, a variety of workshops on Saturday, along with a shooting session around Alva. At the end of the day, photographs from the “assignment” will be featured in a slide show at the Graceful Arts Center.

  • Two Northwestern organizations win Creative Oklahoma 'Great Inspirations' awards

    October 28, 2011 - Creative Oklahoma recently announced the winners of the 2011 Great Inspirations award and two Northwestern Oklahoma State University organizations – Northwestern Art Society (NAS) and Creativity Project – were on that list. Recipients are recognized for their creative endeavors, solutions or activities. Honorees will be recognized during a luncheon at the Oklahoma Creativity Forum Tuesday in Norman.

    Anyone interested in digital photography is in for a treat July 29-30, when the Northwestern Creativity Project plays host to its fourth “Picture My Weekend” event – a free photography show and workshop at the Runnymede Hotel in downtown Alva.

    The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Creativity Project Committee is planning a free “Photowalk” event on the university’s Alva campus Saturday, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m. to noon. A slideshow of photos taken and informal photography discussion will follow in the Student Center Ranger Room.
