    March 3, 2015--Dr. Janet Cunningham, president of Northwestern Oklahoma State University, was presented with the Kate Barnard Award from the Oklahoma Commission for the Status of Women (OCSW) at a recent luncheon in Oklahoma City.      

  • Northwestern alumnus presents president with Woodward campus photograph

    March 16, 2012 -- Paul Lord, a 1972 Northwestern Oklahoma State University alumnus, recently presented his uniquely-designed graphic art photography of Northwestern-Woodward to Dr. Janet Cunningham, president.  It currently is displayed in the business office at the Woodward campus.

    A nominal increase in tuition and a final allocation of federal stimulus funds will allow Northwestern Oklahoma State University to help offset a decrease in state appropriations for the 2011 fiscal year that begins July 1.

    Fifteen outstanding high school seniors from Oklahoma and Kansas have been selected to participate in the President’s Leadership Class (PLC) during their freshman year at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

  • Cunningham signs domestic violence proclamation

    Dr. Janet Cunningham, university president, signs a proclamation at the Domestic Violence Awareness Month tree dedication ceremony at Northwestern Oklahoma State University last month. Joining Cunningham is Sandra Harmon, violence prevention coordinator. The tree, donated by the Northwest Domestic Violence Center, was planted in remembrance of the past survivors, and honors the individuals who died in acts of domestic violence.
  • Wisdom Family Foundation funds endowed chair in art

    Grace Wisdom’s love of art and the family’s strong belief in education has led the Wisdom Family Foundation, Inc., to present a gift of $250,000 to endow a faculty chair position in art at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, giving new life to an academic program that was eliminated more than 20 years ago.
